He is the spirit of the local food movement. He is said to have tilled an acre of land by hand faster than a tractor. And he has got tomatoes to grow on all 7 continents.
Or so he says. Our namesake and self-proclaimed Emeritus Professor of Turnips is at least a little bit of all of these things, but the thing he is more than anything else is, unfortunately, absent. That is right, whether he is off scaling Mt. Kilamanjaro or roaming the wooded plains of the midwest, he isn't around this season. But, we are always happy to receive his dispatches, and will make sure to share them with you all. Who knows, old Marvin just might decide to pay us a visit and instill upon us all some long-lost knowledge that he just found out about, or quite possibly made up.
