I want this website to be a resource for my customers to find out more about me and my products, but I also think it is important to share what I have learned with fellow gardeners. So, I created this page as a way to direct people to places that I feel have a lot of valuable information. In no way am I endorsing any of these organizations, I am simply acknowledging where I found out about different subjects online as well as some things that I have written on my own.
Your State's Extension Website - Here you will be able to find planting calendars, plant varieties known to do well in your area, and so much more. A lot of information you find on the web will either be general or specific to an area quite different than yours. You can use the extension resources to reconcile this information.
Roxbury Farm
Under the "Information for Farmers" link on their website you will find a complete plan for a 100 person CSA, fact sheets on all of the items they grow on the farm and advice on how to buy equipment. Although they operate on a larger scale than I think I would ever plan to, I still find a lot of their information to be quite valuable.
My Google Docs
Here you will find my one acre garden plan (docs called garden plan spreadsheet and fall garden plan spreadsheet) along with my notes on individual crops as well as a few other random reference sheets I have created. Note: some of the information is simply cut and pasted onto the individual crop notes and is not original research, nor is it credited. I don't think this is a big deal as I am not trying to profit from it, I just figured you should know.
