CSA Season begins on 5/28!!!

A bunch of plants, hanging out in the shade on a cool morning

I have consulted with the forces of nature, the gardening gods - both the old and the new, and my roommate Jewel and we have come to the decision to begin CSA shares on the last week of May. The first shares will go out on 5/28 or 5/30 depending on if you pick up at my house or at U of L. The season will run for 20 weeks and will end on 10/10.

It seems like things were a little slow to get going in the garden, but the spring crops are starting to establish themselves. The season will begin with lots of greens, radishes, beets, turnips, broccoli, kohlrabi, peas, onions and herbs. The early summer veggies like carrots, garlic, cabbage, cauliflower, cucumbers, squash, potatoes and green beans aren't far behind. Tomato plants are getting planted this week! Expect lots of shapes, sizes, colors and flavors from the tomato crop this season.

There are still shares left, so if you were waiting until the last minute to buy your share, now is the time!
